I offer my solo concerts in my surround studio exclusively for you only - there is only space for 1 or 2 listeners in the surround space at my studio. I also offer solo concerts in surround or stereo at request in an appropriate venue with up to 400 m2 and up to 400 people in the audience with a 4.0 surround setup, also known as quadraphonic surround.
The exlusive performance will be recorded so that you can bring that magic with you home for personal use - forever. At Acoustic Landscapes Studios we use only the best mics and recording techniques based on many years of experience in capturing the perfect guitar sound.
PLAYING CHESS SINCE I WAS 6 GAVE ME EXTREME VISUALISATION SKILLS
I'm not sure which helped me the most, if my improvising on piano and guitar improved my visualisation skills in chess, or if my chess playing improved my abilities to visualise what I hear on guitar or piano when I improvise or compose, but what is totally clear is that it had a beneficial mutual effect in both fields. After decades of doing both it is easy for me to see links between musical patterns and chess patterns, and how both chess players and jazz players need to visualise this on the chess board or at the instrument. The difference lies in the fact that in music you also need to hear the stuff that you visualise, it is not enough to visualise it only. An imagined sound/pitch has to follow each part that you visualise on your instrument. The online newspaper Nettavisen made an interview with me after I achieved a draw against former world finalist Nigel Short in a simul during London Chess Classic 2012 where I speak a bit about this, read it (In Norwegian only) here
Here after drawing Nigel Short, a former world champion finalist in chess. I was the only one of 24 players in the simul that avoided a loss in 2012 at London Chess Classic. In 2012 and 2013 I had the honour of performing in front of some of the world's greatest chess players at the London Chess Classics, like Magnus Carlsen, Vishy Anand, Gary Kasparov, Judit Polgar, Levon Aronian, Fabiano Caruana, Hikaru Nakamura and many more.
